Guyanese Academics Uniting to Restore Guyana's Image Globally
Vision Statement
The vision of Guyanese Academics is to chronicle and preserve the achievements and legacies of Guyanese Academics globally and to establish a centralized database of academic information for Guyanese citizens globally.
Mission Statement
The mission of Guyanese Academics is to acquire the academic achievements of Guyanese Academics globally and ensure its integrity and validity for posterity.
The true Guyanese intellectual must forsake individual reservations, indiscriminate demands and egocentric preferences for the sake of national unity. Our identity as Guyanese must transcend party affiliations, individual pursuits and racial discrimination. Our bond of nationhood is far more profound than political associations , racial prejudices or religious affiliations.
If you identify problems in Guyana, try to create solutions to those problems before they escalate. Send academic, objective and impartial solutions to the Guyana government or citizens involved. If it is economic problems, organize a team of Guyanese economists, and suggest possible solutions. If it is sociological problems, organize a team of Guyanese sociologists and solve the problems. It is about Guyanese helping Guyana and other Guyanese.
The Guyana government and Guyanese globally must encourage and accept academic thought, academic reasoning, and academic contributions without impartiality from all Guyanese academics without political interference.
Guyanese Academics is not a political, religious or cultural organization, but it is a professional academic organization (nonprofit) and must remain strictly academic. Guyanese Academics has no political affiliations and does not intend at any time to engage in political rhetoric.
We are seeking to establish and maintain a high professional image, diplomacy and reputation par excellence. We will not tolerate mediocrity of any sort.
Guyanese Academics organization and website is the intellectual property and sole and original idea of Guyanese born Mr. Laurie E. S. Talbot. This organization is working ardently to record, publish and preserve the legacies and achievements of Guyanese academics globally. Membership requires a Bachelor, Masters, and or PhD. The minimum membership requirement is a four year bachelor degree.
There are a few questions I would like to ask all Guyanese globally. Firstly, how much do you value being Guyanese? Secondly, what price would you sell your birthright for? Thirdly, do you still consider yourself a true Guyanese? After you have pondered on these questions, ask yourself, what I have done for Guyana lately? What am I doing for Guyana right now? What am I going to do for Guyana in the future. The future is tomorrow. I encourage all Guyanese to stop talking and start doing. The ability to change the face of Guyana is in your hands, so wake up.
